While working with Ferenges
I realized that my English skills are not as impressive as I thought*
My accent comes out at random times.
Its crazy at times cuz even though I have an accent it isn’t that noticeable./
I sound like my parents at times……and I poke fun at them for their English.
What…
Kitfo!
Captain Kitfo!
King Kitfo!
This is considered one of the ‘Top’ Cuisines in Ethiopia.
It’s basically grinded meat that can be eaten raw or cooked.
What you will need:
Kibe (Ethiopian butter)
Mitmita (a spicy red pepper powder)
Beff (best if it is low in fat)
Skillet/Pan
container
Cardamom (korerima)
Salt
Directions:1. Cut the meat in small pieces
2. In a food processor put small amount of the meat at a time and add some mitmitta & cardamom
3. Grind until meat until it is chopped well
4. Place the grinned meat in a container
5. Repeat steps 4 &5 until all of your meat is done
6. Add some kebaye(butter) on the skillet/pan and let it melt
7. Then add the meat and mix it THOROUGHLY for about 2 min
8. Add some salt and keep on mixing
9. You can eat it with a bit of it cooked or with it cooked thoroughly
If you want to eat it raw; stop here
If you want it well done; continue mixing until it is thoroughly cooked well
10. Eat this with some injera, Dabo(bread) and with some Ginger ale :D
Me and Kitfo:
To be honest, Kitfo is loved by many people.
Me personally, I am not a big fan of it. I mean….if I do get kitfo I eat it and I enjoy it, but its not like something I say “WOW” to. A lot of habeshas look at me weird when I say that but its cool.
I just think its kinda lame how there isn’t much to it, just meat and butter basically.
I like cooking wett, with onions burin my eyes and mixing the berberre and all that good stuff.
However I did go back to Ethiopia, this is one of the main things I ate because most of the food that you’re ‘supposed’ to eat has to be cooked well. So eating kitfo almost every other day was an experience!
But I hope you enjoy this
wayygude!

Oblivion: A story about a young girl who refused a forced marriage
The Weeknd is a new name to the R&B scene, a name stirring quite a bit of buzz. Like many others involved in entertainment, this Canadian singer of Ethopian background has a new spin that helps promote his name and music. He gives it away for free. Abel Tesfaye, who goes under the stage name of The Weeknd, is a Canadian born singer of Ethiopian background who has quickly risen through the ranks to make a name for himself. He’s no stranger to music either, formerly belonging to a three man Rap band trio called Bulleez’n’Nerdz before becoming a solo act.
Ethiopian music is diverse - so diverse that we think the potential to dazzle the world, with yet-to-discovered music from every minor ethnic groups throughout the country, is huge.
Our goal is to introduce Ethiopian music to the world, to get Ethiopians and East Africans around the world close to their authentic culture back home.
